The Countertop Company - The WORST company EVER!!

We have now innocently joined the rank as victims of The Countertop Company, Raleigh. We have suffered immeasurably over the holidays without countertops, cancelled events and plans, and we are also out over three grand. We've had five delivery dates, and a dim whit in VA that knows absolutely nothing. The local store has been closed. No one is answering phones, and no one is talking to us, either locally or "corporate." We are filing complaints left and right. HOW IN THE *&@@ DOES THE GOVERNMENT LET A BUSINESS CONTINUE TO CON PEOPLE! When does it stop? Why are these stores and businesses allowed to continue to operate?? All they are doing is victimizing people!!

Do not use this company! I had them install granite countertops in my home and it was a DISASTER. First, they were 2 weeks late from their promised install date. Second, they installed a completely different color than what was shown in the showroom. I know that granite varies from piece to piece, but the granite they installed was completely different. Third, they did a shappy installation job.

This company's membership in the BBB has been REVOKED from unresolved complaints and they have even been featured on TV News because of unsatisfied customers.

You are lucky they even installed your product. I paid them about $3500 last February and they haven't even installed my countertops! They cancelled installation twice, and then lost our measurements. We asked for our money back and they refused. We tried to sue them, but the warrant was returned undeliverable because the owner of the company, Thomas Passarelli, does not frequent the office he has registered with the State Corporation Commission - which is where customers must serve warrants.

Please file a complaint with your State Corporation Commission and your state regulatory agency. A group of about a dozen customers up in Virginia are doing the same thing in an effort to get their license revoked. At least we can save future customers from this awful mess.

My husband & I have been trying to get some resolution with The Countertop Company for months. It appears there are enough people that we could file a class action law suit or something? I welcome any ideas. They owe us over 4000. for a kitchen countertop they never installed and refuse to refund our money.

We worked with the countertop company this summer and love the end product. We picked poseidon which had a lot of movement in the piece. I loved the colors and the movement. It is like having a piece of artwork in my kitchen. My concern was how they were going to fabricate the piece so that the movement went in the similar direction and they did a fantastic job. I know granite is a natural product, but I was concerned about the seams as there was so much movement in my pieces. The installers were just wonderful and the whole process of installing took only about 4 hours. I highly recommend this company, especially if you choose granite that has a lot of movement.

Lucy you are one of the few lucky ones. I have been contacted by another local customer of The CTC that is currently having a horrendous time with this company too. They installed the wrong color and it is not cut correctly. The Countertop Company refuses to acknowledge them and will not return their phone calls. This is typical for this company. I honestly hope the word gets out about them and that NO ONE else will have to go through this.

This company is now advertising sale prices and two week delivery - enticing more victims. There are already a LOT of victims of this company, up and down the east coast. People in NC with complaints against this company should file with their local BBB, the NC State Attorney General's office, Consumer division, contact Linda Matthews. Also, file with Federal Trade Commission.

While the FTC does not resolve individual consumer problems, your complaint helps to investigate fraud, and can lead to law enforcement action.

My husband spoke with the Linda Matthews at the NC Attorney Generals office last week, they have passed the complaints on to one of the attorneys in the office to review. Anyone who has not filed a complaint please do so, it will add to their case study.

We may actually make a difference to the future innocent consumers of the Countertop Company.
