How do I generate earnings?

After joining the Neighborology Builder Program, you will receive Base Pay for each forum post or review that you contribute. You will also have the opportunity to earn Bonus Pay as we will associate ads displayed on the Neighborology website with your Builder Account. When someone clicks on one of those ads, you will automatically generate earnings.

How much will I earn through this program?

There are no limits to how much money you can earn. Your earnings will be a combination of your Base Pay and Bonus Pay:

• Base Pay: You will be paid a fixed amount for each review or forum post you contribute. The exact amount will vary and be determined by the quality of your contribution, relevance to advertisers, and other factors.
• Bonus Pay: You will be paid for each click you receive on ads associated with your Builder Account. The exact amount can vary from 2¢ to $5 and will determined by the amount advertisers agreed to pay for a click on their ad.

To maximize your earnings, it is best to contribute as much content and to refer as many friends as possible to encourage a wide variety of interest in people viewing your content and clicking on your ads.

How do I get started?

1. Join Neighborology and set up your Home to comply with minimum quality standards.
2. Complete a Builder Program Application.
3. While waiting for your application to be approved, contribute as much content as possible. Ensure that your contributions meet minimum quality standards.
4. When approved for the Builder Program, begin tracking your earnings directly from your Home.
5. Invite as many friends and neighbors as possible to maximize your earnings.

What ads will be associated with my Builder Account?

You will receive earnings whenever anyone clicks on an ad appearing on:

• Any page in your Home
• Any page in the Home of a friend that you referred
• Any page that displays a review for a place that you were the first person to review
• Any page that displays a forum thread you originated

Who can sign up?

The Neighborology Builder Program is open to all registered users of Neighborology who are residents of the United States with a valid social security number or EIN.

How much does it cost to join?

It's completely free to join the Neighborology Builder Program. You will never be required to pay anything.

How can I track my earnings?

You can view a Builder Report in your Home that displays the history of page views, clicks, and earnings of your ads.

What ads will be displayed?

Relevant ads will be displayed automatically depending on the content of the page.

Getting Paid

When will I get paid?

You will get paid the balance in your account on the 1st or 15th of the month every time your earnings reach a minimum of $20.00. You can view your current balance at any time in the Builder Area of your Home.

What must I do in order to get paid?

After being approved for the Builder Program, you will automatically be mailed your first check to the address listed in your account according to our payment schedule.

If your earnings reach $600 in a 12-month period, you will need to provide proof of your social security number or EIN using the IRS Form W-9. After we receive this form, we will continue to issue your checks.

How should I enter my payee name and address?

For the payee name, you should enter the name you would like your checks made payable to. Your address should be the address where you would like your checks mailed.

What forms of payment are available to me?

Currently, we make all payments by check via US Mail according to our payment policy. We may introduce additional payment methods in the future.

Referrals

How do I generate earnings for referrals?

You will receive earnings when someone clicks on ads displayed on pages featuring the content of friends or neighbors you referred to Neighborology. We will automatically track whenever a friend or neighbor you invited joins Neighborology, and ensure that you receive earnings from the ads displayed on their pages.

How do I refer people to Neighborology?

You can refer people to Neighborology by using email invitations or a variety of other methods. We will track whenever one of your friends or neighbors joins and ensure that you receive the proper credit.

Terms & Conditions

What is an invalid click?

Invalid click activity consists of any clicks or impressions that may artificially inflate an advertiser's costs or a Builder's earnings, and for which we decide not to charge the advertiser. This includes, but is not limited to, clicks or impressions generated by a Builder clicking on his own ads, a Builder encouraging clicks on his ads, automated clicking tools or traffic sources, robots, or other deceptive software.

Please note that clicks on ads must result from genuine user interest, and any method that artificially generates clicks or impressions is strictly prohibited by our Builder Program Terms & Conditions.

Can I encourage people to click on my ads?

No. You may not encourage people to click on your ads. Any invalid clicks are a violation of our Builder Program Terms & Conditions and will result in cancellation of your Builder Account.

Can I click on my own ads?

No. Clicking on your ads (or having anyone else click on your ads) is considered an invalid click and a violation of our Builder Program Terms & Conditions.

What are the terms and conditions of the program?

Your participation is governed by this FAQ and the Builder Program Terms & Conditions.

What are the minimum quality standards for my Home?

To maintain eligibility in the Builder Program, you must maintain minimum quality standards for your Home:

• Update your Home Name (if desired).
• Upload a new Photo for your Home.
• Add a Description to your Home.
• Complete your Profile.

What are the minimum quality standards for my contributions?

To receive earnings in the Builder Program, you must maintain minimum quality standards for your contributions:

• They must be truthful: You cannot create any content that does represent the truth about yourself or your experiences.
• They must be original: You cannot copy (i.e. plagiarize) content created by any other person, web site, or other source.
• They must have an adequate length: Your contributions should be adequate and thorough. You should include a picture or photo wherever appropriate.
• They must be friendly: Builder's are "ambassadors" of Neighborology and, therefore, all contributions should be friendly and welcoming.

Ultimately, the final decision about quality standards will be determined by Neighborology staff. You will be notifed if your contributions do not meet acceptable quality standards.
